The City of San Clemente is thrilled to announce the official ribbon cutting and grand opening of the highly anticipated San Clemente Pump Track on Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 AM. This dynamic new addition to the community is open to all wheels—including skateboards, bikes, and scooters—but will remain strictly non-motorized, with electric and gas-powered bikes prohibited to preserve a safe and inclusive experience for all. The track is set to become a hub for riders of all ages and skill levels, offering a dynamic and family-friendly riding experience.
Join city officials, local families, athletes, and industry supporters for a high-energy celebration featuring food trucks, local vendors, and live demonstrations. Attendees will also enjoy meeting and supporting brands and businesses from San Clemente’s thriving bike and action sports industry.
To mark the moment in true style, the first official ride will be taken by none other than world champion Ryan Gilchrist, who will kick off the event with a lap that’s sure to inspire the next generation of riders.
The San Clemente Pump Track project was made possible through the generous support and collaborative efforts of Shimano, Inc., the Friends of San Clemente Beaches, Parks & Recreation Foundation, and the Orange County Mountain Bike Association. This outstanding team of organizations, along with a vibrant vision from late San Clemente resident John Cuchessi, has demonstrated their commitment to growing active, outdoor spaces for everyone.
Bring your wheels, helmet, and your stoke! Come be part of a milestone moment for action sports in San Clemente as we celebrate the opening of a space dedicated to fun, fitness, and flow—all while “Elevating the Stoke in San Clemente.”
